We are a family. And as a family, we need each other! And one of the best ways we can come together as a family is through a Home Fellowship Group. This is where relationships can go to a deeper level. Acts 2:46 states that the Jerusalem church met in the temple and "from house to house . . ." Using this focus, we have grown in maturity and have discovered how to truly develop the spiritual gifts of our members and mobilize the terrific power of the Holy Spirit.
What is a Home Fellowship?
HFG facilitates true relationship-based community. A Home Fellowship is made up of 15-20 people who meet weekly to share, to pray, and to support one another in their Christian lives. Each meeting is led by a leader and/or a pastor. A typical meeting lasts for an hour and a half, followed by light refreshments.
How Important Are Home Fellowships?
We consider Home Fellowships to be a central part of our ministry. They are the place where friendships happen as we encourage, support, and challenge one another. We believe that meeting together on a regular basis is time well spent. God doesn't want any of us to be left to walk alone - we need each other.
When and Where Do These Groups Meet?
Our Home Fellowships meet on Friday nights in homes throughout the community or at Iona Room - FPCSM.
What Will Be The Focus?
Group discussions are based on the previous weekend's sermon and/or on a specific theme. Our Home Fellowships is a lab where you get to roll up your sleeves and discuss how the sermon or the theme works out in real life.
How to have a HFG at your house…
Once you have decided what date might work for you, simply complete the Sign-Up Form. Turn the form in to the church office or place it in the offering. Do not delay. The groups may fill up fast and the sooner you register, the more likely you will get your first choice. Prior to your Home Fellowship starting, you will receive a call from one of our leaders with information about the meeting.
