O PASTOR… Nascido em Sao Paulo, Brasil, o Rev. Jorge William C. Abdala é graduado pela Escola Superior de Teologia Evangelica. Além de sua formação Teologica, ele também é formado em Filosofia pela Universidade Catolica Paulopolitana com classes no programa de Mestrado em Ciências da Religiao pela PUC – Pontífica Universidade Catolica – São Paulo. Iniciou seu Doutorado em Ministerio (D-Min) na Faculdade Teologica Sul Americana, em Londrina - uma extensão do Fuller Theological Seminary e, também, reconhecida pela Universidade de Oxford na Inglaterra. Ele é certificado pelo governo federal do Brasil como professor, nas áreas da Psicologia, História e Filosofia. Após ter servido, por mais de 12 anos, como pastor da Comunidade Cristã Filadélfia – uma Igreja evangelical e de tradição reformada no Estado de Sao Paulo – foi convidado em Outubro de 2004 pelo Rev. Dr. Robert Pitman para fazer parte da diretoria do Ministerio do Knox Fellowship, em Burlingame, CA onde assumiu a coordenação do trabalho do Knox tanto no Brasil como nos EUA. Em Junho de 2007 teve suas credenciais ministeriais transferidas para a PCUSA e atualmente é membro do Presbiterio de San Francisco. Casado com Andrea Abdala e pai de David Abdala e Joshua Abdala.

The PASTOR… The Rev. Jorge William C. Abdala was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He is a third generation Protestant. Upon graduation from High School Rev. Abdala began his studies in preparation for ministry. He graduated from Escola Superior de Teologia Evangélica (Superior School of Theology). Following his theological studies he entered the Universidade Católica Paulopolitana (Paulopolitana Catholic University to study Philosophy and receive a second BA degree. The next step in his educational process was to be admitted to the FTSA South American Theological Faculty in Londrina, Parana, Brazil to be a candidate for a Dmin - Doctor of Ministry - which is recognized by Fuller Theological Seminary in the U.S.A. as well as Oxford University in England. He is currently enrolled at San Francisco Theological Seminary in a Dmin program. Rev. Abdala is certified by the federal government of Brazil to be a professor of psychology, history and philosophy. He was ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in 1992. He is Presbyterian and Reformed by conviction and is committed to holistic ministry that cares for the totality of humanity, meaning, the spiritual, intellectual and physical-social needs of people. He dedicated twelve years of his life serving as a pastor of the Comunidade Cristã Philadelphia, São Paulo, an evangelical church in the reformed tradition. In June of 2007 he had his credentials transferred into PCUSA and currently is a member of the Presbytery of San Francisco. The Rev. Jorge Abdala is married with Andrea Abdala and has two sons: David Abdala e Joshua Abdala.
